Our Story: A Decade of Gentle Quranic Education
How a shared commitment to compassionate Islamic pedagogy evolved into a trusted international academy.
QuranMethod was founded in 2014 by a council of Islamic educators, university lecturers, and curriculum specialists who recognized a critical challenge confronting Muslim families in the West: while the demand for Quranic literacy was high, traditional teaching environments were often marked by rigid schedules, harsh reprimands, and instructors unable to connect with English-speaking young learners.
Our founders resolved to build an alternative grounded in the Prophetic virtue of Rifq (gentleness and loving patience). We combined centuries-old oral recitation chains (Sanad) with cutting-edge digital classroom technologies, ensuring every student—whether an energetic 5-year-old in London, a busy professional in Chicago, or an adult revert in Toronto—receives tailored, respectful mentorship.
Today, QuranMethod has delivered more than 65,000 live instruction hours across 35 countries, proving that when sacred learning is delivered with compassion and academic rigor, hearts naturally open to the Divine Word.
